1. Every believer has the ministry of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation.
God has impact our lives with His glory that we may impact the lives of others. We are reconciled to Christ that we may reconcile others to Him. That is God's main purpose for our existence. Jesus came to seek and save that which is lost. His purpose must become our purpose. Knowing Him and being fashioned into His likeness is the prerequisite for being thrust out into this purpose. There is a process to being formed and fashioned into His likeness.
2. Made like Him!
1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
God's will rid us of the wood, hay and stubble because it represents the old nature (it burns). The old nature misrepresents Jesus Christ! The old carnal nature must go through the fire! Through the fire, He develops the Christ nature (gold, silver and precious stones)! Gold, silver and precious stone is purified in the fire! God will purify us to make us holy as He is holy!
When God searches for someone to use to represent Him in a meaningful way, He looks for those who have endured His process and His ordained way. He looks for the new man who is fashioned in the likeness of Jesus Christ. God's fiery process develops character and integrity.
Jesus Christ makes us!
Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men
3. God’s process for each of us is being made in the fire! We can do this!
1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
This important piece is missing from the foundation of many lives. Please understand that what I am saying to you is not a new doctrine, it is just a subject that has not been taught by many. I teach it because I want to see people live the Christ life of abundance in every area. God wants to perfect us so that He can trust us with mature ministry.
There is a process called walking through the fire! Walking through the fire is the process of purging and cleansing the mind, emotions and flesh. It is the process of fine tuning us and making room for the Christ to live His life through us. It is the process of crucifying the old self life for Christ to reign in us!
Everyone who will walk with God will at some point walk through this fire. No true believer can escape this necessary process. Many have already walked through it. The severity of it is determined by your assignment. The higher the call, the more severe the fiery trials! There is nothing to fear because the Lord walks through it with us. He wants us to walk through the fire successfully so that we may be well tuned instruments in His hands. It is a difficult process for our life. It is a time of being made, being built and fashioned. It is a time when you learn if you love and trust God or not. We need to know that. We need to know what is in us! It is a time when you learn submission, wiliness and obedience to God and His word. He is in control of our lives and will not allow the enemy to take advantage of us during this process.
The Lord need people who will stand before Him in the private closet of intercession and travail for the souls of mankind and for the soul of our nation. He needs those who will be trained to serve in the local assembly and He also need people to represent Him in the nations of the world! He chooses us in the fiery furnace of afflictions! Just endure!
Isaiah 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
4. The results of the fire!
Job 23:10 But he knows the way that I take: when he has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
