Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Satan came to Jesus with a flood of temptations.  But Jesus answered each temptation!  It is important to answer all opposition, depression, sickness, and disease, any lack or want.  It is important to answer loneliness, sadness, or loss.  Just as Jesus did, we must answer in authority with the word of God!  God’s word is powerful!

When the tempter comes with a flood to overwhelm us, we must respond with the word of God immediately!  Give no room to the devil!

Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

God’s living word is the standard to defeat the enemy. When the flood comes, immediately speak the word!  There is a big fuss about where the comma should be, but it doesn’t matter where the comma is located! God’s rhema word is greater than satan’s flood of lies, deceptions and manipulations!   Speak the WORD!

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

God’s word is life, and it is powerful! We must get it off the pages of the Bible, into our hearts and out of our mouth!  With the heart we believe, with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (deliverance or redemption – Romans 10:10).

God’s word is greater than the flood of trials, sickness, opposition, poverty, lack, depression, or loneliness!  God’s word is the sword of the Spirit!  Speak it! Continue to speak the word of God until change or deliverance manifest!

God’s powerful, living word is His standard in us!  When we speak God’s word, the floods of oppositions must crumble!
